Glove Name: Wrappa

Manufacturer: Selsport

Year First Made: 1998

Glove Cut: Roll Finger

Description:  Roll finger glove with ribbed latex backhand.  Solid white glove.

Reason for Nomination:  This is the glove that got Roll Finger gloves to the level they are today.  It can be (and has been) said that many other gloves are based off this original desgin.  This glove has also planted Selsport firmly into the market place and their list of professional players has set them up as one of the best.

Definatly yes. I think it was on here that I read that it was this glove that changed how gloves are designed now.

This and the Uhlsport Spezial were the first gloves I gave reviews for on gk1.com.

This is a shoe in for me.

What all the other top end roll finger gloves have enspired to be ever since.

I miss my orginal wrappa so much i have bought the wrappa heritage and i am not disappointed!

Voted yes because of the original version - brilliant glove.

Unfortunately - and i know i will be in the minority and risk getting tarred and feathered - since then it has never been close in terms of style, fit, and latex...

Bit like the Adidas Fingertip...

This got my vote, because, a bit like the Uhlsport 034, it made a big impact when it first came out, everyone wore it- my first roll-finger and because of the comfort and shock absorbtion; even good on crappy pitches!

I voted yes. I've never tried on the original, but my Wrappa Classics exudes awesomeness. I could only imagine that an awesome glove has to begin with an awesome history.

Absolutely amazing glove. I had the next model after the originals because in Ireland we didnt get the stockists at that time.

Im a huge fan of the Heritage. Brought 4 pairs out to America with me and are performing amazing

Never had the chance to wear the original but recently purchased the Heritage and loved the glove. Didn't realise Selsport were the first company to introduce the ribbed back hand!
