How many female keepersdo we have on here?

I'd like to get some feedback from you on jerseys if you wouldn't mind as we are working on a new goalkeeper jersey for women.  Anything you'd like to see?

I've never bought a goalkeeper jersey to train in because mainly they don't fit. I own many outfield womens shirts as the fit is proportional.

With goalkeeper shirts (such as my club one) its like a dress unless I want it skin tight - not a good look or practical. The sleeves are often way too long. A lighter material would probably be better.

In regards to colours I would personally sway away from something very girly ie all pink, I think a dark blue/black jersey with pink detaling and logos would look good. I have some predators I bought when I was on holiday in Vegas last year which are womens and are a dark blue with lighter blue detailing and they look different and more womeney (not a real word I know lol) without it being bright pink etc. I also bought the nike first 2 fit shinguards while I was on holiday and they are a good example of looking womeney without trying too hard as it were.

Sorry if seems a bit of a rant but after playing football for around 10 years and being a goalkeeper for a lot of it I have a lot of opinions lol

Its good to see that things like this are being considered, I have a lot of mens gear as it does its job but its silly things like having those shin guards - they fit much better and therefore are more comfortable, same with boots and outfield shirts.

when your left with nothing, theres nothing left to lose

We have a whole line of women's apparel and a women's specific GK jersey.  I'm in the process of having it updated and we are thinking of dialing it up a notch.  I've gotten some feedback from Hope Solo as to what she likes but would like to put it together with the rest of the female GK community to create a style.

Thanks for the feedback.

Hey RCpunt

i love short sleeves and no sleeves. Igo for greys blacks and and have a couple bright colored ones too but never pink...and never pastels. I perfer no padding or very very light padding. I hate thick fabric even if its cold I just layer up with under armor or what ever base layer. Up until last spring when i put on 10 extra pounds due to an injury, I loved to wear tight stuff, like just a long sleeves mens provent or small jerseys that look like underarmor... but with my little belly that i am still working off. I do not like skin tight stuff as my top layer. waaaa, I  know suck it up and work out more.

If you want I will post some pics of my favs. I also use alot of field player jerseys and recently some Formotion jogggin/running shirts. Wink

Forget sugar and spice, Cleats, mud and blood are everything nice! Look at my youtube vid channel if you wanna. http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=spuntech

Hope is very much into 3/4 sleeves.  We are looking at taking the Confidence fabrication and spinning it with the look of the new National team kit.  The fabrication is fabulous for most conditions and body types so now it's down to a matter of sorting out the color combo's.

I'm not that picky but I like green jerseys and jerseys with simple designs. I don't really like tight jerseys but I don't like huge jerseys because they can be uncofortable too. Sorry if this wasn't very helful.

I hope to have an update on the design soon and will post it when we are close to catalog for the season.
