I bought this boot just over a month ago and first impressions were good. The leather was decent, it wasn't k-leather, but that was something I could deal with.
They are defintiely much much different to kick with. Consistency is the key with these, as miskicks off the sides of the ridges are terribly shanked. The kicking plate is overall not worth it in my opinion. They removed feel from the ball for me and I think the good kicking I had for the first two weeks or so was psychological as the plate does remove ball feel.
I was forced to return these cleats today because last night on a passback I kicked the ball away, and the plastic ring which secures the laces snapped, making it impossible to tighten the already difficult lacing system. This was not encouraging as I had only had the cleats for a month and they cost $200.
Overall, good effort to innovate from concave, but not a good first try. Maybe come up with a different approach for the concept and sort out the quality control issues, but for now I will move away from Concaves
Goalkeeping is not just a position on the field, it is a way of life, it is an attitude on and off the field.
Thanks for the feedback mate as I wanted to try a pair of these. Do you feel the idea is worth it or just a gimmick?
Dida still needs a team! lol
Why be negative when you can be Positive? Beats me!
Keepers are criticised and praised, its the keepers choice to decide what to listen to.

When first ever developing The Predator this was the big problem Craig Johnston had when he was experimenting with initial oncepts, ideas, materials etc etc. The predator was making use of this concave boot theory, the ridges were introduced to give feel and grip on the ball which he was struggling with when just concave.....
I don't think they are worth is YET. Not at the pirce or with some many other better boots out there, but i think they will be if they go further with the idea. Good first attempt, but I would say no as of now.
