My last 4 pairs of gloves have all been Nike and every single one of them have had the seams slpit and come apart. I have 2 pairs of Vapor Grip 3's that the seam has come un stiched @ the right thumb area. Just tonight I noticed that I seam on my T90 confidance that wasn't stiched and now there is a gapping hole in the finger. Is anyone else having issues like this or is it just me? Most of the time the gloves are not more than a few games old with when it happens. My t90's had only been worn once.

I had a pair of Vapor Grip 3's (the gold/white ones), and after approximately 10-12 games and several training sessions (did not use them for every single session, only training games), the thumb seam did start to pull away. It was not on the actual tip of the thumb, it was towards the longer side of the thumb, where it attaches to the bandage entry. It wasn't a major thing, just got some thread and needle, and easily patched it up. For all my other Nike gloves, which included some Nike Gunn Cuts, Classics, Grip3's, Tiempo Grips, etc...none have ever had a problem with the stiching.

With your gloves, is it the same area as mine, or some other?

Same here.....problems with stitching on the thumb of my vapour grips - as you put it on "the longer side"

The extended palm came away on the Gun Cuts but I cut them off anyway. Also there was another little hole on the other glove but it's a bit hard to explain where it is exactly. Nothing major as it has been fixed and the gloves are still usable...

Dida still needs a team! lol

Why be negative when you can be Positive? Beats me!

I havent had any problems with 5 pairs of Nike gloves i have owned.

I have had 2 pairs of Vapor Grip 3's and both were excellently constructed and lasted for ages!

Same, I have never (except those gunn classics, but with any roll finger glove, the seam between the 2 middle fingers WILL split if used a lot) experienced any problems with nike gloves

I've had 2 pairs of vapors (the first ones last me an amazing 1 year!!! and the grip was/is still intact)

The 2nd pair's doing just as good, had them since the middle of october, no noticeable wear at all

I had a pair of gunn cut classics from april to june which did split on me though (between the 2 middle fingers and the wrist) but the latex was still perfect. I did use them 2-4 times a week so i reckon i got what i could out of them.

I have never had any problems with stitching coming away on any of my Nike gloves I've had in the past. HO gloves though, thats another story! But have always been able to repair them myself with a needle and thread.

Still inconvienient though.

I'm on my 4th pair of Vapour Grip Sparks this season and the stitching has come away around the thumb and index finger on 2 pairs, and the wrist strap also started to come unstitched on one of these. Not put me off though.

I played in college for a university that was sponsored by nike.  From '01 to '05 I wore every Nike glove they produced (Gunn Cut, Kraaken, Contact, T90 Wired, Vapor).  I always had problems with the stitching in the gloves (fingers, wrist straps, you name it).  I was more surprised when I had a pair that would hold up for a long amount of time.  It was always the construction of the glove that came apart long before the palm was done.  Even the inner lining of the palms I felt started to fall apart before the palms.

I did love the palms though.  So I really didn't mind :)

Did hate all that plastic though...

I had a pair of the T90 Gunn Cuts  two years ago for training purposes and the stitching on the thumb ripped within two or three uses. Although the grip was excellent I did not find them as good as my Adhesion Ultra's in any way.

Perhaps mine were just a one off then.
