It should be a bit darker / 'more grey' if it was Aquasoft on that glove.

As far as I know the endorsees use all 3 'main' foams of Uhlsport.

AbsolutGrip, Aquasoft (Pröll or Mondragon on some of his gloves e.g.) and SuperSoft.

+ variations like 7mm SuperSoft.

And yes there is this mix - Aquasoft + AbsolutGrip - like on the Fangmaschine Intermediate.

But I have never seen a endorsee using the Intermediate-foam.

As far as I know there are more endorsees who use AbsolutGrip than endorsees who use Aquasoft or SuperSoft.

The 7mm SuperSoft is 4mm of latex and 3mm of foam backing. It is on most of the uhlsport SMUs i have.

I have a pair of Coupet test neg cut smus which have a mix of absolut and ss on them.

They were not bad, liked either absolut or ss better but.

Could you post some pictures ?

Is it 'mixed' like on The Fangmaschine Intermediate ?

Can't imagine this 'mix' right now and would be interested to see how it looks.

SMUs are always interesting. :)

The formula was a mixture,  the palm was not split.  I have no pics, I had them in 2007-2008 season, I liked them, but scharzwers smus were better, I loved them.

Cycoco:

So this is Absolut Grip or the regular Supersoft. There is no other foam.

As I said, it's SS.

As others have said, there is also AquaSoft and Intermediate. There is also Soft and Hard Ground, tho obviously these would not be worn by endorsees. But certainly AquaSoft has been.

At the moment I'm using 4 pairs of Uhlsport SMU's, all of them aquasoft negative, also have Janot and Coupet SMU's and they also use aquasoft, Janot in negative and Coupet in flat with a reinforcement on the fingers (a feature from the early 90's) and supportframe on them

ive been using my Fm's for exactly 1 week now, 3 games and 3 practices and 1 kickabout. The grip so far seems the same. I find it to grip similar to the x1 latex, very sticky. what I dont like about absolutgrip is that I have to find the right amount of moisture to put on the palms. I cant put too little because it will dry quick. I cant put too much because I dont like the inside of the glove to be wet. When I have found the right amount of water to spray on it, I let it set during warm ups so the palm can absorb the water then by game time they are very sticky.

I absolutely love my absolute grip! The glove I have it on has performed superbly from dry to heavily muddy conditions on the 4 or 5 times I have used it. After a few more uses I will post a full review of my glove, I could review now but I want to affirm my feeling that the grip won't die like others think first.

I must admit that I have never owned a pair of AbsolutGrip gloves. I've used a pair once and they were the Ceberus RF White/Blue but they weren't the best shape as my friend is an occasional keeper and those occasions are always indoors. He never washes the gloves either. The grip was pretty good, I'm not sure whether it was the AbsolutGrip trying to fight through the dirt on the glove or what but it hadn't died completly and the gloves are about a year or so old.

I am curious to try a pair of AbsolutGrips as I did have a pair of Aqua palmed Ergonomic R's which were really special. Reading through this thread provides alot of food for thought too. Its rather interesting how divided people can be over a palm.
