These gloves are priced at £35-00 which some people may feel is a bit steep for a company that is just starting up and i can fully understand why it may put some people off taking a chance with a new company like this when they could pay a similar price for a pair of sells or puma gloves. But after wearing these a number of times now i am extremely impressed with how they have performed.

Features

Half wrap thumb, rolll finger cut, 3mm supersoft palm, bandage wrist

FIT

At present PRO-GK does not offer half sizes which IMO would be a welcome addition however, the fit is very true, i purchased these in a 9 and they fit the same as my selsport wrappa and puma king exec gloves. The bandage wrist is very secure and is easily adjusted. The fingers are just the right length anfd the glove is extremely comfortable to wear.

Cosmetics

These feature a red/ white backhand with the PRO-GK logo in the middle of the backhand. I personally like the design, considerably more original and it goes well with the goalkeeper kits we have at the club.

Grip

Obviously the most important part of the glove. These feature a supersoft palm, feels like a 3mm which i like, the feel on the ball is great. They perform excellently in all conditions, have worn these in varying conditions over the past week, one pitch was covered in sand and very dry and the other was very wet on the surface. The gloves took everything that was thrown at them and performed consistently well no matter what the ball we used or the surface we played on. These easily are as good as the other supersoft palms i have used (reusch ssg, uhlsport supersoft and sells supersoft palm). Personally i feel they fully justify the price tag. In dry weather they grip the ball unbelievably well, in the wet (as with most supersoft palms) they begin to fall off but not to the extent where you wouldn't still feel confident in them.

Ratings (out of 5)

Dry grip- 4.5

Wet grip- 4

Comfort- 5

Fit- 4.5 (half sizes would make a difference)

Durability- 3.5- the palm is extremely soft so cannot see it lasting for ages but after 3/4 uses there is only minimal wear

Final recommendation- personally i really like this glove, consistent grip, comfortable and fresh looks i would recommmend these to anyone who likes a supersoft palm.

good review, i'm sure the gloves are good quality but i can't help continuing to question the price tag. £35 for a supersoft roll finger glove seems inflated for any brand, let alone one who have not yet built a reputation for quality and service.

by way of comparison, i've just browsed just-keepers and found that Sells, Reusch, Uhlsport, Selsport and WGK are all offering at least one supersoft roll finger glove for £30 or less. Sells also have the TGB special edition for £30, and we're all aware of the budget/upcoming brands such as D-Flekt, The One Glove and now KA.

As I previously commented regarding Pro-GK, there is no way I would pay £35 for a supersoft roll finger glove from a company I have no knowledge of. I've used both the One Glove and D-Flekt's pro roll and both, for the price of £22 or so, are fantastic value. I'll comment on KA when I received them.

Quite frankly I'd be hard pushed to even pay £30 for a supersoft glove when an extra £10 could open up the possibility of Wrappas, V-Pros, Contact Foam or even the Sells Comfort with Super4 latex.

If Pro Gk are to muscle in on the market they will either need to produce a phenomenal latex or reconsider their pricing structure. Otherwise I see no reason to try them out.

Yeah i fully understand your response, i also feel maybe they should drop the price a bit. However, you mentioned that you could stretch to pay for selsport wrappas for a similar price these do perform as well as the selsport wrappa gloves i have which i didnt expect. Obviously they are not going to be as tacky as contact foam but they are consistent.

the wrappa and the sells wrap both came out at £50 when no-one had really heard of the brands . when the wrappa came out you could get the uhlsport spezial , reusch serie a and adidas fingertip for £40 , all of which were on a par with the wrappas . the wrappa was still a huge success .

I think the reason behind the initial success of Selsport and Sells was the fact you saw them on the hands of the endorsees week in and week out.  Kiely, Mhrye, Robinson lead immediate credibility to the gloves.  Charging 35pounds for a glove without endorsee power will be difficult.

Like it or not, people equate seeing the gloves on pro's as an automatic endorsement to their quality.  Without that exposure, smaller companies are climing up hills straight off the bat.

Again i agree chewie, they do have endorsees at decent levels obviously not of the calibre of Green, Gordon and co like sells do but they are trying and working hard to develop the company. I do agree though that they are more likely to get more custom if they drop the price and then step it up when they are established and have more endorsees etc.

I agree with the previous comments about the price. Like many of the people on here I tried the D-Flekt glove(s) due to a number of great reviews and by the fact the price was cheap so didn't have much to lose. I haven't tried this glove so can't comment on quality but a £35 price tag for a glove from a new company/brand is very steep, I would certainly have given them a go if the price was £20.

Hi Guys  ,

thanks for all the feedback , after taking onboard alot of the feedback we have been given , we have decided to drop the price of the gloves to £27.99. We feel that this is a far price in as much that it will not brake the bank and that it will give some that are a bit scepticle of the price no reason to not try us , you will not be dissapointed as you can tell from chewie's review. For anyone that has purchased the gloves at the £35.99 price , we will refund the cost accordingly on your next purchase.

 thanks

 Glen

It is great to hear that Pro-GK has listened to the feedback TGB as provided.  I can honestly say I think this is a great buy at £27.99.  If GK's give them a fair shot, I think you will too.

I just recieved my pair of these and they seem VERY well constructed. Good fit, very similar fit to a Sells Wrap or Selsport Wrappa.

Latex feels like it needs a good pre-wash but im sure the grip will be great (Going on the review).

aye can second that Mac, have tried these and have been massively impressedStick out tongue, with fit which is extremely comfortable + also the construction is very very good. Used these a few times in dry conditions, and have been very happy with the grip. Think these will appeal to GKs who prefer a bit of space with comfort (similiar 2 wrappa fit), and a good alternative to the tighter fitting One Glove-although I think these could justify £35. Lastly haha I think they look good, modern but definetly a GK gloveWilted Flower

Almost at £28, they seem 2 good to be true,  will have these on rotation with Selsport.

hi guys...

sorry i couldnt remember my password ..so couldnt get on..

we have decided that we are going to concentrate on just the revolution range ... so this will obv cut down the range by 3 models , them being the Classic , Evolution & Comfort that are being dropped

For next season in the Revolution Range , each differant backhand will have a certain latex  or cut, so for example :

Revolution Will have PRO-SUPER SOFT Latex (4mm) - Roll Finger

Revolution Super will have PRO-SUPER SOFT (3mm) - Roll Finger

Revolution Super Blue will use PRO-AQUA (3mm) - Roll Finger

Revolution Classic will again use PRO-SUPER SOFT (3mm) - Negative Cut

plus defo 1 pos 2 more models in the Revolution Range .

We will be at some stage introducing 1/2sizes and hopefully before the start of the season have clothing and apparel in place

Warmest Regards

Glen

yep anyone got anymore feedback on the Revolution glove?? Mac, Chewie?

Used mine in last 5 games of season and they were quality, was kept fairly busy but minimal wearing to palm. I personally think they are a better glove, than the impressive Sells TGB at a similiar price.

Striking things on this model, are construction/stiching, then comfort and the 3mm gives great feel of the ball, the overall construction still gives plenty of shock absorption.

Maybe the same model but with the extended palm would be an idea?
