Better fit, cut, feel? I imagine it could have been any of them.

Dida still needs a team! lol

Why be negative when you can be Positive? Beats me!

Keepers are criticised and praised, its the keepers choice to decide what to listen to.

OK, I know that money is a huge factor, and people seem to love contact foam from Nike, but...

Other than the 1 reutsch and the 1 ulhsport, there are no Sells, no HO's, no Selsport on the list.  I would think that one or 2 keepers would be willing to go for quality. I can't believe that there are that many keepers that want a plastic backhand(vaporgrips3). I know that nike, adidas, and puma can afford to pay way more, but I wish they couldn't. I guess I can't really understand because I have never been faced with the decision or the differerence in real cash numbers of a nike endorsement vs a Sells endorsement.

Forget sugar and spice, Cleats, mud and blood are everything nice! Look at my youtube vid channel if you wanna. http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=spuntech

Sells and Selsport don't have much of a presence in the countries that are taking part tho, so it isn't that surprising really. Lots of keepers in Spain and Portugal wear HO, and lots of German and Italian keepers wear Uhlsport. Just not the ones who are the number ones for their countries.

Keepersport does provide some information, and thanks to them at least a somewhat good look at wich gloves the Keepers wear and what jerseys they put on. Eventhough we don't have to talk about the fact that their shirtcolor does change from time to time   Wink

Diego Benaglio (Switzerland)

Petr Cech (Chech Republic)

Ricardo (Portugal)

Völkan Demirel (Turkey)

Jürgen Macho (Austria)

Stiepe Pletikosa (Croatia)

Jens Lehmann (Germany)

Artur Boruc (Poland)

Edwin van der Saar (Netherlands)

Gianluigi Buffon (Italy)

Bogdan Lobont (Romania)

Gregory Coupet (France)

Antonis Nikopolidis (Greece)

Andreas Isaksson (Sweden)

Iker Casillas (Spain)

Igor Akinfeev (Russia)

Also non-debatable is the fact that those gloves pictured are regular gloves. All Euro 2008-Keepers and professionals wear unique smu's. Nonetheless nice to look at that list. Völkan Demirel used a T90 Confidence in the first 2 matches and tonight against Chech Republic he went back to old-school Vapors.

Gregory Coupet wears Uhlsports Akurat-Design, with Aquasoft-Palm. He used to wear Aquasoft, could be that he wears Absolutgrip from time to time, however he does not use that Akurat-Series palm.

Gigi Buffon wears Regular Flat Palm if I remember correctly, not sure about Boruc. But both use the new Tricks-Design.

Jürgen Macho uses Negativ Cut instead of the pictured Rolled Fingers. Same goes for Petr Cech.

And lastly, Casillas still seems to wear Reebok, but now with blue color instead of red. But there's also the rumor going around that Iker switches, or has switched to Adidas, and probably could wear 'Dasler when the new season starts.

No, I'm not American. I just like her. She's a great Keeper.

And hot  Wink

Wait, so all of a sudden Nike/Adidas/Reebok arn't quality....!? I don't doubt the quality of HO, Sells and Selsport but thats a harsh statment to make.

That and the Nike Vapor Grip3 has a foam backhand not PU.  The Grip3 which is the next level down is PU and has 3mm Contact foam instead of 4mm on the Vapor Grip3.

I like the contact foam, the adidas I have never liked except the fingertips(i havent tried the responses) and I havent tried the reeboks. But I think that companies that are only focused on GKs are more likely to put out products that are really well thought out from our perspective. Plus I think the BIG companies are more likely to exploit child slave labor in third world countries. Reebok is the exception to that because of thier "no child slave labor" guarentee.

But do reebok still practice that given their new owners?
