I wouldn't wear Ad Ultra Aqua in training, or in dry weather games. They are specialty wet weather gloves, and they'll last a long time (well over 10 games) if you only wear them in rainy games. To be honest any decent supersoft will perform just as well in dry weather, but last longer and probably be cheaper, so for me there's just no reason to wear them other than during rainy games.

As for latex damage when putting on/taking off the glove, this for me is why I don't like tri-lock wrists, and always remove the smalll patch of velcro on the inside of the wrist, as that is where, by neccessity, I have to grab the glove with my other hand. So I just remove it - and it doesn't affect
 the fastening in the slightest.

Yes, but they can replace them as often as they need/want.

Actually, that brings up an interesting point.  How much wear and tear do you guys have on your gloves before you each consider them 'worn out' or no longer suitable?

For me it's usually when something rips or when the finger tips get so worn out that there are holes in them.  I notice that palms on the gloves don't get as beat up as the finger tips.

Well, for me I guess ity's when the latex compeltely wears down to the foundation (layer beneath the latex; about 20+ games)! Stick out tongue I live in a family were you use something until it is completely unusuable. But if I had a salary... Wink

I use gloves until they;

A) Have no grip

or

B) They are too badly damaged

Dida still needs a team! lol

Why be negative when you can be Positive? Beats me!

Keepers are criticised and praised, its the keepers choice to decide what to listen to.
