REVIEW

As we all know, there are many new glove makes making a way to the market lately.  Most of which, I will not review because I doubt they will be around in two years time.  KA is most certainly not one of those gloves.  TGB member Kenny Arthur has crafted a brand based on what he thinks is important in Goalkeeper Gloves.  Simplicity.  Nothing fancy here folks.  The glove is designed to get the job done.  Plain and simple.  Understated all white glove, simple 4mm supersoft palm.  What it lacks in design flare, it more than makes up for in fit and performance.  The glove is very solid on the hand, and it will offer those who prefer a substantial glove a feel they can appreciate.  Only minor drawback for me, is that the pinky finger was quite a bit long on my hand.  Kenny has already made the adjustment for later models.  The all latex glove moulds to your hand as almost a second skin.  The latex is shockingly soft.  I can honestly remember few gloves that are as soft as KA’s flagship glove.  Because the latex is so soft, it offers among the best cushioning of any glove on the market.

The grip of the glove was honestly not supprising at all.  Kenny has been a professional goalkeeper for almost 15 years.  He went through literally hundreds of samples before deciding on the latex used in this model.  The grip is as equally good in both wet and dry conditions, which is very unusual.  I honestly think it may have outperformed in wet conditions vs. dry, but only by a slight margin.  Anyone who thinks that because this glove will nor perform based on the cost will be very very supprised at its overall quality.

SUMMARY
Simple, understated, but with better than average grip and performance.  It offers an almost perfect combination of performance and value.

Pros
Fit
Very Good All Weather Grip
Shock Absorbtion

CONS
Pinky Slightly Large for me

RATINGS (Out of 10)
Dry Grip: 8.0
Wet Grip 8.25
Durability: 8.75
Fit: 8.75
Cushioning: 9.5
Value:  10.0

Overall Rating:  8.8 A-/B+
Reccomendation: Possibly the best value glove on the market

On a special note, I think ALL of the manufactuers who have taken the time to not only join and sell their products on TGB, but actually participate deserve a real shot at your business.  KA is fantastic company, as is the product.

aye these are excellent gloves, having used them in a number of trainning/friendly games now. Of the gloves I have tried in the last two seasons, they represent the best value for money.

KA ways in very high, despite being £30 less than Selsport Aqua, which for me are the best in the business. Pro-GK are also very good, particularly if you like a 3mm palm.

Purely my own views but as overall gloves, these are my ratings.

Selsport Aqua Seven : 9.5

KA Roll :  8.5

Pro-GK revolution: 8.5

Sells TGB: 7.9

One Glove: 7

after further action, my one constructive feedback is perhaps the interior of the glove, could use a different lining? sometimes feels like a shell of latex, and on other models the internal fabric really helps secure the fit/structure of the glove.

Just futher feedback,

I have worn these many time in heavy rain but nothing like i did coaching monday afternoon.

The weather here in South Wales was dreadful and the area of the trainign ground in 'Goalies Corner' became quite heavy and muddy indeed.

The gloves held up extremly well, and peformed as well as the One Glove for me in wet and muddy conditions, which is a very high compliment indeed!

Just want to say that all the good feedback is the reason I'm getting some KA rollfingers. Looking forward to using them - especially as the weather gets worse.

Well, the only thing I have to say is that I don't care about design... Performance is all I need and if I will get a better performance with working gloves I will wear them (it's joke of course but all I want to say is that performance is the key)

Hi Kenny, living in Hamilton I'm more of an Accies manStick out tongue but my mate has had a season ticket for Firhill for years. I've often been to Firhill when he couldn't make it and have really enjoyed watching the Jags, including yourself. It's obvious you work very hard at your game and that shows when you play. You deserve all the success you get.

I haven't got your gloves yet but they will be my next purchase. I was playing seven's the other night and the keeper on the next pitch was wearing them. They look even better in the flesh and he spoke very highly of them. Keep up the good work, fair play to you mate,

cheers Mick.

Cant really fault them at all.  Unbelievably good for the price.  I wont be paying upwards of £40-50 again for gloves.

Trying to persuade everybody I can to start wearing them and so far managed to get a few guys (and girls!) to order a pair.

Looking forward to the new models
