Review:
I love, love, love, love, love this glove. The feel is outstanding. There is truly something about a well-fitting negative cut glove. The breathable polyester of the glove body and thumb is soft and comfortable. And the grip is outstanding.
I prewashed the gloves a day before playing. The conditions were very hot and humid, and the latex was very tacky. There was an audible 'squeak' sound with every ball I took in the warmup, which gave me a lot of confidence in the glove. A few drops of rain fell in the first half, but it remained predominantly dry, so I can only base my opinion on dry conditions. It wasn't the busiest of games, but I was very impressed with the grip and feel of the glove. I also think it looks great, though the orange Sells logo and black/white body might remind some of Halloween. :)
Not everybody likes latex gussets, as they can make the glove feel a little bulky, or seperate the fingers too much. I don't think this is a problem with this glove. The latex gussets (they are black) do not feel intrusive and the glove still feels slim and snug.
There are a couple of minor cons. I think the pinky finger is not quite long enough for me. The rest of the glove fits perfectly, but the pinky is a little tight at the fingertip. Also, the half-wrapped thumb is negative cut on the top, which makes sense as far as consistency, but isn't really the best idea practically. The internal seam runs across the middle of the thumb and kind of gets in the way when I put the glove on, and there's really no benefit to an internal seam at this spot, since it isn't alongside the fingers. I'm also not sure if 'Contour' means it's supposed to be bowl cut/pre-curved, because it isn't.
These minor squibbles aside, this really is a great glove at an astounding price. You get a professional-caliber match glove for the cost of a decent training glove. I don't understand Sells' pricing policy on this glove, but I'm certainly happy about it.

Good review , I'm really liking the look of these. Might get them soon.
I think it is the best glove for the $$$ on the market. Insane really to charge that price for a glove with those kind of features.
I agree. $45 for a pair of gloves with super4 latex is a total steal. I'm pretty sure the gussets are NOT super4, but I don't think that would make that much of a difference. I also like the look of Vic's SMU of this style glove.
As an update, I've worn these several more times, and my opinion of them only gets better. The grip has gotten even better, there is no visible wear, and they continue to be the best-fitting glove I've ever had. I've still only used them in dry conditions and probably never will use them in any kind of wet, rainy conditions, since I have both the Sells Ultra Ad Wraps and Uhlsport Pro FM Aquasofts for that. But if I could pick just one glove to wear from now til the end of time, in any conditions, it would be this one. And it's $46!
btw Sells STILL haven't updated their webpage to the 2007-08 range. Great products, bad website management.

that is some compliment!
(glad you like those badboys)
Ah! I just ordered these gloves the other day because I've been on pumas my last 3 pairs and decided it was time to try something new, and i was excited as far as price and quality looked, but these reviews make it seem like they're going to be even better than i thought.
honestly , the sells ss is superb in the wet (and mud) too . i know that i am not alone on this board in thinking that sells ss is (allround) better than the ad ultra .
I would personally take Sells SS over Ultra and Super 4 any day.
I second that, for me Sells SS is the best foam on the retail market.
Isn't the Super4 basically a 4mm SuperSoft?
I prefer ultra, but I do think the SS palm is a very good palm. Comparable, if not better than some top end palms.
It may be, but I haven't used it yet so it would be unfair for me to pass judgement on it yet....having said that, I have a couple pair of the Contour Comforts waiting my glove cabinet I plan to use for indoor this winter.
I do not think so Justin...For one, my TGB glove feels thicker than my Super 4 SMU's...I think the Super 4 has an additive that gives it a tackier feel.
