I'm a 39 years old broken down keeper who does more coaching than playing these days. I've played a game or 2 in the National League here in NZ many years ago (amateur) and still don the gloves in the odd game in the Premier League in Auckland for my club Mt Albert Ponsonby.
I've been fortunate enough to coach the goalkeepers at Auckland City during a period where we won 3 National League titles and the Oceania Champions League, which led to the trip of a lifetime to Japan in December 2006 for the FIFA World Club Championships.
In November 2007 Jimmy and I spent 2 weeks in the UK on a Sells Australasia gk tour with 14 young goalkeepers (13 from Aussie and 1 from NZ like myself). Visits to Man City, Everton, Liverpool, Newcastle and Rangers to witness the coaching methods of the gk coaches at each academy was a buzz for us all.
Like most members on TGB I'm a glove addict!
