Les Fridge, St.Mirren, phoned to request a holdall as he is going with a Scottish Under 21 squad to Yugoslavia this weekend. I said that I did not have any and they were not sold in the U.K. so I could not get any quickly, certainly not by the weekend.

31st August 1989 1.23-1.40
I phoned Bobby Geddes, Dundee, to tell him that I had received the postage due stamps and that he would be sent a £62.42 cheque from uhlsport in Germany. I once again said that in future if he wanted to ask for goods from me then it would save this problem, to which he said that if he asks me for tracksuits, coach's jackets etc., I tell him that they are not stocked in the U.K. and therefore he does not get so much from me as he does direct from Germany.

Jim McNamara of Line 7 phoned to say that Alan Rough, now playing for Ayr United, had been in to a sports shop in Ayr and taken 2 pairs of uhlsport gloves and said that he had an agreement with uhlsport. I told him that Alan Rough was now out of contract and if he wanted gloves the system has always been to get from me or the agents, not from a sports shop. His contract expired 25th May 1989, but he has not been in contact with me for well over a year.
