I bought and sent to Jochen Mink this weeks issues of "Shoot" and "Match".

22nd August 1991 1.05

Mr.Bouska phoned to say that Pavel Srnicek, Newcastle, had received the uhlsport catalogue, and could he order some goods. I told him that not everything was available in the U.K. but he gave me the list 060 size 11, 071 size 11, 051 size 11, 076 size 11, 061 size 11, 012 glove bag, 5681 Sweatshirt XL, 0419 Holdall, 5579 trousers XL. I said many items would not be available but I would check with Line 7 and see what could be done.

John Burridge, Hibernian, phoned to order some goods and 1 only cap, 1 only 012 glove bag were sent to him (No.31).

Guido van der Kamp, Dundee United, phoned to ask if I had sent the gloves he ordered recently, 043 size 11, and I said no. He then asked for 3 pairs 036 size 10.5 and they were sent to him (No.32)

27th August 1991

I sent to Tony Pickering at F.A.School 2 pairs 071 size 9, 2 pairs 073 size 9 (*.Hurst), 2 pairs 061 size 9.5, 2 pairs 073 size 9.5 (*.Cutler) (No.33) as ordered on 15th July for September 1st.

David Spensley phoned to ask me to send some goods to their Scottish rep, Alex McGouther. xxx . For Mark Mclean (Celtic) 1 pair 036 size 9, 1 pair 040 size 9, for Steve Woods (Hibernian) 1 pair 036 size 9, 1 pair 040 size 9, for Chris Reid (Hibernian) 1 pair 036 size 9, 1 pair 040 size 9, for Jason Gardiner (unknown club) 1 pair 036 size 9.5, 1 pair 040 size 9.5 (No.34). David also asked me to send him a copy of the goods only contract I use.

I sent a copy of the goods only contract to David Spensley of Line 7, Hayes address, the only one I have.

Theo Snelders, Aberdeen, phoned to request some gloves and 3 pairs 043 size 10 were sent to him (No.35). I asked him if he had heard from Line 7 or uhlsport about his contract and he said no.

John Burridge, Hibernian, phoned to again enquire about jerseys. He asked if I had any 544 jerseys in any colour apart from Green, and I said that I had 1 only Sky XL left and this was sent to him (No.36).

I phoned David Spensley to tell him that I had seen Andy Goram, Rangers, wearing covered up Reusch gloves v Partick in the Skol Cup, although I believe he is still under contract to Sondico. I passed on this information in case it meant that Andy Goram was looking for a new contract. I also passed on the fact that Theo Snelders was still waiting for an answer about a contract.

Peter Shilton, Derby, phoned to request some goods and 2 pairs 578 Large, 2 only 544 Green XL were sent to him (No.37). He also wanted items I could not help with, 544 XL in 2 other colours, 2 of each colour, 2 jerseys XL for training and any gloves 036 size 9 with his name on. I said that I would pass on his request to Line 7.

29th August 1991 4.33-4.39

I phoned David Spensley to pass on the request from Peter Shilton. He then asked if the SHOOT/uhlsport competition was to carry on this season, and I said yes as it had already been discussed by me with Herve and Shoot. I pointed out what will be needed is another trophy.

Alex McGrouther phoned to tell me that Jason Gardiner was another goalkeeper at Hibernian. He asked about the general situation with promotion and contracts and I said that it was very confused and unsatisfactory, and that perhaps we could discuss it at E.X.S.L.

4th September 1991

Mr.Bouska phoned to say that Pavel Srnicek, Newcastle, had had his gloves stolen and 2 pairs 036 size 10.5 were sent to him (No.38).

Alan Main, Dundee United, phoned to request some gloves and 2 pairs 036 size 9 were sent to him (No.39).

I visited Phil Parkes, Ipswich and QPR goalkeeping coach, to give him 1 pair 036 size 9.5, 1 pair 040 size 9.5 (No.40). He told me that Tony Roberts, QPR reserve, had asked about getting uhlsport gloves. I said that about 18 months ago he had been sent about 6 pairs of gloves and when he had asked for more I had said yes as long as he signed a goods only contract. He would not do so and has since been wearing Reusch. I said that he could have gloves again as long as he signed a contract and Phil said he would pass this message on.

6th September 1991 11.40

I received a phone call from a company called Panalpina saying that they had some goods for me from uhlsport. I said that I was not expecting any goods. They told me that 5 parcels also had Line 7's name on and Line 7 had told him that they should be delivered to me, and could they have our VAT number and Import number. I said that the goods, whatever they are, should be sent to Line 7 and suggest they contact them again.

6th September 1991 11.45-11.50

I phoned Line 7 and spoke to a lady who knew about Panalpina. I said I was not expecting any large quantity of goods and the details she gave me, 60 pairs 060, 5 pairs 040, 24 pairs 376, 8 pairs elbow, 8 pairs knee, 24 pairs 554, 61 pairs 036, 12 pairs 061 told me that it was a duplicate order. In anycase I pointed out that the goods should be imported by Line 7 and then sent on to me.

6th September 1991 2.35

Roger Freestone, Chelsea but now on loan to Swansea, phoned to ask for some gloves free of charge. I reminded him that he was no longer under contract and that I had written to him a few months ago to confirm that no new contract would be offered. He could buy at special prices if he wanted to.

Alan Knight, Portsmouth, phoned to request some goods and 2 pairs 040 size 9.5, 1 pair 578XL were sent to him (No.41).
